South Bend Bass-Oreno Lure, No. 973 YP, 1922-1953

Here we have a nice little fishing lure, in the original box. It's a South Bend Bass-Oreno, model 973YP. The YP stands for Yellow Perch. This model was produced between 1922 and 1953, so it's at least 64 years old! The box style, logo, etc would probably give you a better idea of the age if you want to do the research. 

In spite of the age, I think it's in pretty good condition. The colors on the lure and box are bright and well defined. There are some cracks in the paint of the lure, but it still displays well. There's some writing and an old price tag on the bottom of the box. Someone that knows more about it might be able to clean it up and make it look better.
