Willie and Millie Penguin were advertising characters used by Kool brand cigarettes from about 1933 through the 1950s. The art underwent many changes over the years. This version appears to date from the late 1940s into the very early 1950s. They are shaped into the form of plastic salt and pepper shakers. It looks like Willie was used for pepper and Millie for salt.

They both could be in a better condition, but Willie is the better of the two. Millie still has most of the red paint on her beads and bow, but has lost a lot of the white of her eyes. They still look good sitting on a shelf.

Pretty cool looking, and usable, advertising items.
