Very good example of this cool vintage Gillette safety razor. The Fatboy takes a standard double edged blade. The numbered dial adjusts the angle of the blade. Date code of G1 indicates it was manufactured in 1961. The razor is in excellent overall condition and looks great. In spite of its age, this razor uses the standard Gillette style blades you can purchase in many stores and online today.

As you can see in the photos, this razor is in very good condition. There are some water spots on the head. Overall, the razor looks almost perfect in your hand. The paint is quite good. There is some discoloration on the adjustment knob. The black ring under the dial looks good. The red spring looks perfect. I expect something more than our standard "light clean and sterilize" process would help it a lot. The doors do have a little stiff spot when you open and close them. With use, this will likely clear up.

The case looks good sitting on the shelf, but it looks like it may have been dropped on one corner. The clear lid and the black case are chipped on that side (pictured). It still displays well open or closed. Gillette Super Blue blades were originally shipped with this razor. There is an empty dispenser included for display, but I don't know if it's original.

It's hard to go wrong with this one. Looks great, works great. Ready to use or display.
