Good example of this cool vintage Gillette safety razor. The Fatboy takes a standard double edged blade. The numbered dial adjusts the angle of the blade. Date code of E2 indicates it was manufactured in 1959. The razor is in excellent machanical condition and looks great. In spite of its age, this razor uses the standard Gillette style blades you can purchase in many stores and online today.

As you can see in the photos, this set is in great condition. There are some small spots on the head. Overall, the razor looks almost very good in your hand. I think it's been excessivly cleaned before we got it. Most of the paint missing is from the numbers, and the ring under the dial has lost all its black paint and is showing the brass. The red spring does look perfect. I expect something more than our standard "light clean and sterilize" process could still help it too.

The case looks good sitting on the shelf, but there is a small piece missing on the front. It still displays well open or closed and the latch still works. Gillette Super Blue blades were originally shipped with this razor.

It's hard to go wrong with this one. Looks great, works great. Ready to use or display.
