These antique nail clippers were made by the H.C. Cook Company of Ansonia, Connecicut. They're marked as being patented on October 20, 1896! They are a very early design for nail clippers. It has a neat catch mechanism to keep the clippers closed in your pocket. You rotate the little triangle in back with the lever depressed and it holds it down. Excellent condition for the age. It does have some light rust, but has a great look, you can read all the markings, and the blades are unbent and still sharp enough to use!
Very pretty addition to your collection.
