This is a nice little antique tobacco advertising piece. It is a whetstone with a picture of a tobacco tin from Bagley's Old Colony tobacco. The front is celluloid over a lithograph. The back has a convenient pocket size sharpening stone. It was made sometime around 1900.
It is in pretty good condition, and looks better than the photographs show. There is some discoloration, probably from excess oil from the hone. The celluloid is still in perfect condition. There is a bit of rust on the metal frame, and the stone shows a bit of wear. Personally, I like it better that it's been used. Gives is character.
