Gillette Black Handle Super Speed Safety Razor from 1967

The Gillette Super Speed is a nice workhorse vintage safety razor. Comfortable and attractive. No wonder Gillette made this model for so many years. This type is commonly called the "black handle". Date code of "M3" indicates it was made in 1967.

Looking at the razor in your hand, it looks perfect. The flaws you see in the photos are not very apparent in person. However, it would probably benefit from more than our standard "light clean and sterilize" process. The case is also in excellent condition. There is some light scuffing on the clear plastic lid, but it is not obvious at all. If you plan to shave with the razor, you should purchase new, Gillette style double edge razor blades, which are available from a variety of brands and sources.
