GEM Gold Featherweight Single Edge Razor from 1949

This is an excellent example of a GEM "Featherweight" type single edge safety razor. It was made sometime around 1949. Many people swear by single edge razors, and the blades are still readily available. This is the more rare "Gold Tip" version. It has the gold plated head, and a gold plated metal tip applied to the pommel.

As you can see in the photos, this razor is in very good condition. The only thing to call out really is some sort of film or other variation in the color of the gold plating on the head. It wasn't removed by our "light clean and sterilize" process, but I feel it could be removed with something more than that. 

Overall, very nice razor to use or display.
