Roy Rogers Lucky Horseshoes from Trigger, 1950s

This set consists of two Roy Rogers Lucky Horseshoes. One in red and the other in black. It also has two other rubber horseshoes that aren't marked RR, but are still period. All are in pretty good condition, but could stand a cleaning. Both Roy Rogers shoes are marked Roy Rogers, Trigger, Lucky Horseshoe, and the RR brand on one side, and Roy Rogers Lucky horseshoe on the back. Someone has drilled two holes in the black one for hanging. The red one has a void from a bubble on the back.

Both of the "generic" shoes have plain backs. The black one is marked Made In USA on the front with stars. The red one has a number of different cattle brands represented. It has a crack in the rubber on one side.

Back in the day, it was good luck to hang horseshoes over your door. If you decide to do that, be sure to hang them right (so they look like a "U"). If the open side is down "your luck will run out".
