This is a wonderful cookie jar. It was made by the Brush Pottery Company beginning in 1969. You'll find it on page 93 of "The Complete Cookie Jar Book", The Brush company was formed when they split from Brush McCoy in 1925. You can also read up on the history in the book. The jar is made in the shape of a happy little bear. It is 11 inches tall. This is an example of the yellow paint style. It was also produced in white and brown.
As you can see in the photos, it has some issues, but is generally in good condition. There's some general crazing, and some odd stains that might clean off. The paint all looks great, and we didn't find any chips or cracks. We've included photos of all the major defects. It's a great piece, and looks cute as can be on the shelf.
Interesting piece with character when it's sitting on the counter or shelf.
