Here is a unique look into the early history of electricity. It is a battery powered electric candle from Eveready. In order to sell batteries, Eveready made and marketed a large number of battery powered devices. This is an example of a battery powered night light. It has a switch and a button on the bottom. When you have the switch in one position, it locks the light on. In the other position, the light is off when sitting on a table and turns on when you pick it up. Uses two "C" style batteries.

You can see in the photos, the condition is not perfect, but it is very good. If you wanted, you could polish it up, but I like the patina. The glass top is unchipped and everything works.

Neat piece of lighting history to display, or maybe even still use as a night light.
