Here is a very interesting model. It's an excellent example of one of the most rare Schick razors. This is a Type D. It was only produced in 1935. It was the direct ancestor of the hugely popular type E and G razors. It is the oldest Schick that will accept modern injector blades (on the older models, you have to reload the old cartridge with new blades). It has a unique scissor action to open the razor for cleaning. Schick really liked this feature and tried several times to re-create it, specifically, in the E2 and the Hydro Magic lines. Personally, I think this is one of the coolest razors Schick ever made.

As you can see in the photos, the razor is in excellent condition. I was surprised when I looked at the magnified photos and noticed the small spots of discoloration under the head. That was missed by our "light clean and sterilize" process, but should be easily cleaned up with further effort. Very attractive razor overall. Works perfectly.

The included bakelite case is not perfect. It does have the large chip out of it you can see. Otherwise, it's perfect. Many of these cases have warped over the years, but this one doesn't show any signs of that. The vintage injector appears to be the correct period and is not empty, but we haven't evaluated it any further than that. It is included for display only. If you intend to shave with the razor, you should purchase new blades.

A very interesting piece of razor history to display or use!
