Very good example of this unusual vintage Gillette safety razor. The Toggle was first introduced in 1958. Rather than the traditional "twist to open" mechanism, it has a "toggle switch" on the end of the handle. By moving this toggle, you open and close the doors. It has the same head and adjustment mechanism of the early "Red Dot" Fatboy. The numbered dial adjusts the angle of the blade. Date code of F4 indicates this was from the 1960 Christmas re-issue, and the last quarter it was ever made. The razor operates perfectly, and is in very good overall condition. Takes standard Gillette type double edge blades, which are available from a variety of sources.

As you can see in the photos, this razor is in very good condition. There is some light wear to the plating, but it looks very good in your hand. The number dial has lost most of the original paint. The red dot paint is also gone. Model paint or nail polish would fix this easily. The black rings on the handle are about perfect.

Hard to find collector's item in great condition. Ready to use or display.
