We think this is an amazing find. It's a Sonic Jet Control Line Flyer. It's in the original box, and has the stick and string included. It is operated by tying the string to the stick and threading it through the hole in the wind. By swinging it around, you are able to "fly" the plane. It apparently also makes a jetlike sound in operation. There are instructions on the back showing how to perform various manouvers and tricks.

As you can see in the photos, the box lid is good, but not perfect. The plane itself is in excellent condition. Of of the cardboard tailfins has a slight ding on the corner. You could likely work that out. You can tell it's never been used because the string is still tied, and the attachment hole has never been punched.

The story of Victor Stanzel model planes is very interesting, and can be read here

Neat looking toy plane with a facinating history. Displays well in or out of the box!
