Here we have product of the 1960s space race. This is a great game called Astro Launch from 1963. It was made by Ohio Arts (the folks that gave us Etch-A-Sketch) . It's played similar to Trouble in that you move your pieces around the tin litho printed board and can send your opponents back to the start. It does have a neat little "inner orbit" move you can make as a short cut. This is a cool looking space toy with bright colors and a clever way to roll the dice. You turn the knob and that pops a disk under the transparent globe.

As you can see in the photos, we've not done much more than knock the dust off, but this game looks great. There are a very few spots with dings and dents and maybe a little rust, but it's very mild. Even the plastic globe is very clear with very little scratching and little, if any, yellowing.

The original playing pieces are missing. However, we did take some push pins and file the points off to replace them. We have also included reprinted directions so you can play the game.

All in all. it is very cool looking, fun to play, and has a great presence on the shelf.  Whether you're into Ohio Art or space toys in general, this one deserves a spot in your collection.
