Lead Soldier - Barclay, Reading Orders, B116 773, from 1940

This vintage lead soldier was manufactured by Barclay in 1940. It is called "Reading Orders". It shows an officer walking as he reads the orders of the day to his men.

As you can see in the photos, he has a some issue, but still looks good. His clipboard is clipped, and a lot of his paint is gone. Even as he is, you can almost see the burden on his shoulders as he takes responsibility for what's about to happen.

Nice, old lead soldier, ready to display or restore.
