Very cool little vintage tin wind up toy! It's a boy skier, made by Nikko. It's marked "Made in Occupied Japan", so it should have been produced sometime between 1945 and 1952. Works perfectly, and in excellent cosmetic condition for the age.

The hand painted plastic head is a little faded, as well as some of the red in the tin. However, everything is still very clear and bright. He's cute as can be! The toy is surprisingly heavy when you pick it up. I'm not sure if it's thicker than normal tin in the body, or the wind up mechanism is built heavy. Either way, it's stood the test of time. We've seen several of these with missing winding keys, or with replacements. This one looks original.

Terrific antique toy to collect and display. Would make a great addition to any collection!
