Vintage Tennis Racket Silver Brooch Pin from 1970s, or 1950s?

This wonderful vintage silver pin is sterling silver. It was made in the shape of a tennis racquet in Mexico sometime in the 1970s. It is about 2 3/4 inches long. It needs a bit of polishing, but looks great!

From the styling, report of the previous owner, etc, we thought this was from the 1970s. However, we see it is signed "TP-50", so it's possible the "50" stands for 1950.
