An excellent example of a World War II bayonet. This one is an for the British Enfield .303 caliber rifle. It is a No 4 Mk II spike style bayonet with the stepped shank. From the model and styling, it would have been made around 1941. It includes the metal scabbard and cloth belt loop.
As you can see in the photos, it's in very good condition for the age. It has a cool look to it. Graceful, and yet mean looking. I'd hate to be on the wrong end of this thing!
Everything is tight and works smoothly. Wonderful piece of military history.
