Copper Boiler or Canner from about 1900

These antique copper boilers were equivalent to a modern day water heater, plus they were used in preserving canned goods. This example is in very good condition. Most you find these days would be tin, perhaps with a copper plating. This one is solid copper. If you like them shiney, it wouldn't take too much work with a little metal polish and it would shine like a jewel.

As you can see in the photos, there is quite a lot of patina. We like this look, but that's up to you. If you plan to put water into it, it will need some light repairs. There are some spots around the edges of the bottom that would need a tinker's care. However, it is still very solid. It's been kept well. You can still see most of the original varnish on the wood handles.
