This is a very complete vintage microscope set with metal carry case. It's a Porter Science Microcraft, Microscope Lab Number 216. The outside case looks pretty good. As you can see in the photos, it does have some rust and dirt. However, on the inside, it's really nice. There's a few slots where things are missing, but we can't figure out what it might be. It includes....
Lesson book
Registration card with 3 cent return postage
Microscope
Mounted light (it works)
4 sample test tubes (1, "dye water" is empty)
Glass rod
6 boxes of test materials (The "Feathers" box is empty, and its mounting slot is taped. At least some of the other boxes have material in them.)
Mounting cement and thinner
Tweezers
2 needles to position work
One 4 in 1 slide
An envelope with blank slides
...and probably more we haven't listed. Just look at the picture!
The focus knob on the microscope is pretty stiff. It probably just needs some lubrication. Relive those fun years of exploring the world through magnified eyes. There can't be too many more out there like this one.
