Dr Heinz Feeds Advertising Clipboard and Perpetual Calendar 1950

This is a pretty cool item. It's a metal clipboard that was made as an advertising piece for the Dr. Heinz Feeds company from Washington Court House, Ohio. It has a clever perpetual calendar in the clip. By shifting the calendar left and right, you can make the calendar operate for any given month. We have it set for December 2016 in the photos. Since the key to the calendar on the body of the clipboard starts in 1950, that would be when the piece was made. You don't need the key to set the calendar. Just set the first of the month on the correct weekday, and you're done. Of course, it does show 31 days for every month, but it's just a quick reference anyway. It measures 5 1/2 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches tall. 

It would benefit from a cleaning, but it's in pretty good condition. There is a little rust on the face, but nothing serious near the printing. The felt covered back has more rust around the edges. The calendar appears to be done in enamel on metal, so it's still in good shape and operates perfectly. 

Neat advertising item to collect or perhaps even use.
