Schick Injector Razor Type J2, 1959

This vintage Schick Injector razor is a type J2. It was produced around 1959. The long handle (about 4 3/4 inches or 11.5 cm overall) and cool styling make it popular. It's somewhat more rare than the type J1 which has the white handle and gold plating. If you want to shave with it, you can purchase new standard Schick style blades, which are available in multiple brands from a variety of stores and online sources.

As you can see in the photos, the razor is in very good condition. There may be some minor scuffing, but you have to look really closely. While taking the photos, I did discover a scratch on the head I didn't see before. We've added a photo of that. It would probably benefit from something more than our standard "light clean and sterilize" process. 

Overall, a very nice razor to use or display.
