This is a one gallon Apple Cider jug made in the shape of an apple, with leaves molded into the glass. We've seen a lot of these bottles listed as being from White House. However, I don't really think so. Cute as it is, I've not seem one with a White House label. Almost all the White House Vinegar jugs I've seen have their name molded into the glass somewhere. Rather, I think this was made by a competitor in response to the popular apple shaped jugs, or perhaps even an independent bottle maker. From the materials, etc, we're pretty sure it was made in the 1940s.

As you can see in the photos, it's in about perfect condition. No chips or cracks. It even includes the cap, which is almost always gone. Looks great sitting on a shelf, or it could be used to hold your favorite beverage.
